VW Recalling Up To 11 Million Vehicles for Falsified Emissions

Serving Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura, San Bernardino Counties & Nearby Areas of California

Volkswagen has been found guilty of putting software in as many as 11 million of their diesel vehicles that would help them to cheat emission tests. The software, also known as defeat devices, helped the diesel vehicles to appear more clean than they really are. It was found that these vehicles were actually putting out 40 times more than the allowed level of pollution.

Volkswagen is being required to recall at least 500,000 diesel vehicles and fix the emissions problem so that the vehicles are actually as clean as they claim to be. Additionally, VW has announced that they will retrofit as many as 11 million vehicles worldwide. VW has suspended sales of their diesel models and may put out upwards of $6.5 billion in order to retrofit all of the recalled vehicles.
